Access to the MUSANEI database by users can be easier with the help following information:GENERAL INFORMATION
The database can be browsed using latest versions of web browsers (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox and Mozilla)
Three search options can be used to view the database by selecting Accession numberof the species or cultivars, name of species and local names.
The result of the search will show the following data properties

Origin of species/ cultivars
Musa Characterization Data with the following sub headings
Morphotaxonomy Descriptor
Inflorescence & Male Bud Data
Bract Characteristics
Characteristics of male and female flowers (of Male Bud)
Characteristics of fruits
The above content headings of the database are collapsible links optimized for enhanced browsing by users. Each heading can be clicked to expand and view the associated contents. The data in the heading can also be closed/ collapsed by clicking again on the particular heading.
However, the complete data containing all the headings and information can be found along with the associated images at the time of printing the report (pdf) of the species/ cultivar information.
The database has been developed based on the modified data format adapted from the Descriptors of the Banana (Musa spp.) and Musalogue: Diversity in the genus Musa. These books/ manuals can be downloaded from the RESOURCES link http://musanei.in/resources.php/

Free full access to the database is available only for the Passport data and Morphotaxonomy Descriptor
Users requiring full access to the complete information of each species and cultivar will require user registration using an email id. Upon registration, an email will be sent to the registered user along with the password to access the data. The user id will be activated within 24 hours during any working day. In case, users does not get password, then an email may be sent in this regard to musaneidb@gmail.com
The access to the database is free but users must acknowledge if any of the data/ information from this database is used in preparation of Research article, Reports, Thesis, Project proposals, etc. in the following format.
